Hey there, I’m Alvaro Diaz-Rubio, an award-winning illustrator, designer, and all-around awesome dude! Born and raised in the vibrant landscapes of Miami, I’ve always been drawn to the colorful and unconventional. Now based in Hollywood, FL, I find inspiration in my two amazing kids, my lovely wife, and our dog, Cosmo.

My artistic journey began in Miami, where I discovered a love for drawing that has since become my life’s passion. As an internationally published illustrator and award-winning graphic designer, I’ve had the opportunity to create unique worlds filled with whimsical characters that blur the line between reality and imagination.

My educational background includes graduating from Miami’s prestigious Design & Architecture Senior High and earning honors at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Since then, I’ve honed my craft as a graphic designer and art director for various award-winning publishing and design companies, including Sandow Media, Sebring Group, Worth Magazine, and Material Bank.

But my heart has always been drawn to illustration. From appearing in publications like Village Voice, LA Weekly, and Miami New Times to illustrating children’s books, websites, album covers, and concert posters, I’m constantly seeking new ways to share my art with the world. Beyond print, I’ve also made my mark on the streets, from captivating art shows to larger-than-life murals in iconic locations such as Miami’s Wynwood Art District, Miami Beach, and beyond.
